The Magical Revival was originally published in 1972, and is the first book in a series of three trilogies known collectively as the Typhonian Trilogies. A second, enhanced edition was published in 2010. Running to 276 pages, printed on high-quality paper and sewnbound, with a half-tone frontispiece, a 16-page section of colour and half-tone plates, a glossary, a bibliography and an index, this second edition was reprinted in 2020 and for the first time available in two formats: hardback and paperback. A second impression followed in 2022.
